Launched in 2009, Living & Design is an annual international trade fair with the theme of “living and living-space renovation.” Following a move to Grand Cube Osaka, a hub of trade shops and showrooms, Living & Design gained a significantly enhanced profile in its 2012 release. In its fourth edition last year, there were more than 100 companies exhibiting, including 20 from overseas (America, Italy, Canada, Thailand, Denmark, France and Belgium) and the event was the talk of the town for three action-packed days.

Living & Design 2012 saw its highest satisfaction rate compared to previous years at 82%. In addition to the number of visitors and the exhibition scale, what exhibitors prize most about Living & Design is its cost effectiveness.
The diversity and opportunities at Living & Design are a proven path to business success. This year’s fair, Living & Design 2013, will provide even greater coverage than previous years, offering exciting opportunities for new business contacts. The call for exhibitors was announced on March 4 this year at Grand Cube Osaka where the fair will take place. 90 prospective exhibitors participated in a briefing session, with over 70 percent considering participating in the fair for the first time. On behalf of the organizer, Mr. Toshiyuki Kita, executive producer, Yoshihiko Mamiya, creative director, and Reiko Kawakami, coordinator of LIVING & DESIGN, attended. They reported on the last fair and explained the booths, site layout and the effect for exhibitors.
LIVING & DESIGN is highly reputed for its commercial potential and unique style, including the circle of collaboration with a wide range of living-space and interior exhibitors, and the compact venue arranged as a living space, adding to the environment for business opportunities. Living & Design 2013 will also offer exhibitors who lack a store or showroom of their own in Osaka a place to exhibit and sell their products directly to general consumers during the trade fair period, using space in department stores, partners of Living & Design in Osaka.
As people grow and redefine what is important in their lives, the lifestyles they choose will also continue to change and diversify on into the future.
