21st June - 22nd August, 2014 | IWATE MUSEUM OF ART, Morioka, Iwate   Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978, b. Greece), one of the greatest painters in the 20th century, was active mostly in Paris and Italy. The metaphysical art movement which he founded to depict mysterious inner world behind the visible ordinary life had a big influence on the Surrealists.
